Raketti That’s quite an interesting addition to the regular old plate. I like it.

Max. Do you have any clay to mix with other materials to repair your riser? Or if the performance has not changed, may be better to leave it alone.

Max. Do you have any clay to mix with other materials to repair your riser? Or if the performance has not changed, may be better to leave it alone. Well, it's surrounded by rockwool. So for the moment no repair done. And i won't waste clay for that right now. It's burning everyday! I need to refill now.

Makes sense and if it’s burning that means it’s doing what it needs to for now.

I was told that rockwool won't burn but the binder starts desinegrating at 250C. There is alos high-temp rockwool that can take 650C.

Hi everybody! Here's what i typically burn in a day. 1 fire in the morning, two at night. So that load gets split in three. Sometimes, the morning load isn't full. And some days, i do only two burns. And 4 on really cold days. Like -17 during the day for a few days. So far, i have burned approximately 6 steres, since the ninth of november. That's 1.66 cords. Of oak. To heat a 635 m3 building, badly insulated.

That's pretty impressive Max. What temperatures do you have both inside and outside? Ed. Just went back over your earlier posts and see that you can get lows of -17C. That's bloody cold. I think Mount Everest Base Camp is around that figure this time of year. And I complain when the temp gets down to 5C here!!

Guys, found a way to burn sawdust.
When i have tons of embers in the firebox. I load a big kraft enveloppe full of oak sawdust. Works lovely. And i recycle those horendous enveloppes from mail advertising.

I keep all the paper sacks I get and use them to save sawdust and wood shavings and stuff like that, when it's full I just stuff it in the firebox and light the sack.
