Wow. Haven't been on here in ages. Downsized the indoor garden this year. 4 pepper plants - Lunchbox Orange (Bonnie), Shishito (Bonnie), Cubanelle (Bonnie), and Mystery Pepper Plant that I grew from seed last summer and I forgot to label soooo I am waiting for a pepper to figure out what it is. Through years of trial and error I have found indoor peppers seem to like small buckets. So I buy the cheap $1 blue wash buckets at Dollar Tree and stick them in a window. I stick with plain potting soil because any type of planted fertilizer or hugulkultur attracts aphids like crazy. I do use a water-soluble fertilizer. Other people probably have better luck but this is my haul. Here are 4 mini Cubanelles I picked today.

Oh, I found an instant cure for indoor aphids. Stick the plants outside if it is warm enough. Yeah, pretty basic stuff. Let the wind and predators get to them. Nothing else worked for me. Washes and sprays were only temporary. Also, like I mentioned in the above post, put nothing in the soil to attract them. I have had zero problems this winter.

Started this with seedlings because I am always trying to find a better way to grow indoors. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Passive_hydroponics Seems to be working so far. I read an article somewhere that herbs love growing in water. My cilantro loves it.
