A couple weeks ago right before the first hard frost, I brought in cherry tomato, eggplant, and pepper plants to overwinter. This is my first pepper of the winter season. It does lift my spirits and hope that more can be accomplished over the next few months.

Pluck-n-eat, Toodles. Lol. I have been in such a funk over the last few years. I am not great at gardening indoors but decent enough. Okay, I suck at mushrooms indoors. I admit that. Lol. I seriously need to expand on this further. I have been growing plants over the winter for the past 3 years but this season I have been so lazy. I am forcing myself out of that crap mood and getting my butt in gear. I know what to do I just have to do it. Babies...

Spoke with a couple permaculture people. I've decided to try to grow all inside this year. I don't have a lot of sunlight so I will see how this goes. It might be a total bomb but whatever. The picture I posted contains two varieties of tiny tomato plants.

There are some banks of narrow bandwidth LED's available for both propagation/ vegetative phase, and the flowering/ fruiting phase. Way better than fluorescent lighting. First heard of NASA using it years ago. Back when I was a hippie grower ! Maybe I'll search these lights again myself. Happy growing(of vegetables, young lady!)! Eric VW

A cave. Okay, an old farmhouse!! Yes, I am going to need some artificial light I guess. I will check out the LED banks. Currently, I am using really super cheap desk lamps I got at clearance at Target with some grow bulbs.
