my guess it that a bit longer firebox enables just a bit longer sticks and a bit longer burn at the same rate.

1. People use 0,5mm thick steel drums so 6mm would be adequate If it's not cast iron it will peel inside but who cares.

anyone has it? Is it necessary with the rocets? Instructions say "Install at least 15 feet away from any fuel burning appliance", that seeems too far it's ouside my tiny house

based on what I read here is you can increase the gap more and shorten the riser (up to 4B) to get less gas velocity and more heat extraction by the bell.
leave it as it is or shorten the gap if you need more gas velocity to the secondary bell or horizontal flues.

thanks DC dor the explanation. As for the exit temps, Peter said around 75C (167F) is excellent. I guess because the heat extraction is maximal without having condensation and creosote doesn't form on a clean burn.

yea, I think people forgot about the bells.
with the riserless heaters I guess it is because of insulating materials that they have clean burning so they don't need long risers for complete combustion.
