Hi everybody. Well, i know how to calculate the port of à batch box by now. Tho, i have thoses refractory flues that are a smidge big. 18cmx18cm, with rounded corners. I have drawn what i have in mind: donkey32.proboards.com/thread/964/dimension-question-peterTho, the port is a bit tall. Albeit the proper dimension, at about 65% csa of the chimney. I wonder, should i lower and widen the port or leave it as it is? I'm kind of stumped, as i want to use this prety much as an open fireplace. And i know on my 6 incher which has about the same dimensions, smoke rols in the firebox; sometimes, giving me smokeback. Tho, i have a very long pipe after that stove. Thanks a lot. Max.

OK Max, I've seen that post go by but forgot to react. To read that .skp file I have to restart my other computer so you have to wait until tomorrow...
