- Where do the ashes go in the Dragon Stove, and how
are they removed? - Is there really a gap of a few inches between the
bottom ends of the stick and the bottom of the chamber, as shown here: www.dragonheaters.com/how-dragon-heaters-work/

Some of the ashes blow into the heat harvesting part of the stove, the bell or bench or however you do that. You'll need a clean-out plug or door to occasionally remove the ash. The rest of the ashes (most of them actually), stays in the burn area and can be scooped out every couple/few burns.
No, the sticks fall down as they burn, their burning tips normally rest on the bottom of the stove and/or the little pile of burning charcoal that piles up as you feed in the wood.

Sounds right. Though that door seems a little much to be a clean-out only.. ??
