I have just found the upgrade. I keep getting a pop-up for a gambling games app which only has an option for "OK" and not a button for "cancel". I find this INTENSLY irritating as I LOATHE online gambling. How do I get rid of it?

Right click and copy the adress, then paste that into avast's website blocker. Or any other type of website blocker you can find.  With me, all add aware, add click, google adds etc websites are blocked. I even go to the extent of looking in the source code for add adresses when the right click doesn't work. |

I find the problem on an iPad. Most operations like that are at best semi-hidden by the system.

I 2nd that for ghosterly and I also use HostXpert which blocks all the ad servers.

Ya know.. Years ago when I chose proboards, my main criteria was how much add space they use on the page.. Proboards used the least amount of all the free forums I looked at. I friggin HATE the ads, always blinking at you from the side (or top, or ALL over) of the screen. Add blockers are crucial for my daily surfing sanity!
One way to eliminate the ads on THIS site (something that I've NEVER brought up before on these forums) is for a few folks every month to follow the little link at the bottom of every page that says "Click here to remove banner ads from this forum".. It will take you to a place where your wallet will be lightened (with your permission) a little and the ads will magically disappear for a short time. If enough people agree to do this, the banner ads may go away for a LONG time..
I've never mentioned it before, mainly because It feels a bit like extortion.. A guy walks onto the bus with a saxophone and plays it REALLY badly and really loudly until someone pays them to shut up. After ten minuets, bad sax man begins again until payed another dollar, and so on..
