Yeah man, I struggle with my thoughts on all this on a daily basis. On the one hand, I'm actually starting to get irritated when I look at every one else's chimney output these days. I'm like, why the hell are wood stoves so crappy still, after so many years? I know the answer, or think I do, but it still pisses me off.
On the other hand, the regulations are exactly why I'm in the same position as you are, without the family held mortgage. So, at risk, to say the least.
This is the reason I'm going to D.C. next month. I really, really want to show people, especially the industry, what's possible using this technology. And that the public is ready for a new wood stove format and paradigm. Nothing would make me happier than to have some manufacturer choose to make a stove in a RMH type format after being inspired by Peter's core that Sandy and I are both bringing. I intend to share all of my tech with all of them and try to inspire and convince them to explore the idea of offering a stove in a new format. I can only imagine what I would do if I had some of the manufacturing capabilities that some of the other finalists have available to them.
