How do you cut insulating firebrick?

Hi everybody.

I have salvaged some insulating firebricks to reduce the size of my 6 incher batch box.



And i would like to cut the bricks's end to the shape of the firebox top.

How do i do this? Surform ?

the best way is a Diamond saw butt it can be done by scoring with a chisel then tapping with a hammer the saw can be done very well the the chisel and hammer may be good not having a smooth edge at the brake and at times will not brake correctly leaving the brick for Grog.
