The smallest really useful clay cooking stove for humid tropical areas. Burn tunnel 4", feed tube and chimney 3". Chimney height 5". The wooden part of coconut leaves or the usually rotten wood leave lots of coals, which would glogg a 3" burn tunnel very fast. The coals collected in the 4" burn tunnel help to burn very wet wood on which birds may have sung some weeks ago. The little stove can boil one kilo rice in a short time. My sister in law is very happy with it and prefers it over the much bigger 4" version shown in my pizza oven thread, as it consumes a lot less wood. My brother in law too wanted to get a copy.

Copies from a pottery in Lopez Jaena. Because of the usual misunderstandings is only vaguely similar. It's not just because of the language, but also due to the almost complete lack of physical knowledge. Not burned as I had to leave, thus I could not test. A copy costs 200 Pesos ( about 5 $), which is for many people there the income of several days.
