Hi, Italian neighbors!
I am looking for shops with chamotte bricks in Italy.
The price here is about 2.50 EUR per brick. I have heard that in Italy it is arround 1 EUR per brick. Is this true?
Do you have any recomendation of where to look in eastern part of Italy (Gorizia)? Any shop with construction material or something similar?
The closer to Slovenian border, the better...

So far for me, refractories have been cheap in italy. But i'm on the other side from you.

I bought refractory tubes from a local supplier, but they're made by landini SPA.

the wife and i are going on a 1 year anniversary honeymoon trip to italy in the summer, maybe i should see what i could put in my luggage. what's special about italian refractory? just good prices?

compared to Slovenia, good prices definately. I have some italian chamotte bricks here and they seem more durable than those that i can get from my country, also (that's my feeling and nothing else).
Come over to Slovenia! I will probably be a cattle herder on Pokljuka with my family and 2 yr old son. We make great yogurt :-)

I have a house in Abruzzo, I'll ask at the local builder's merchant what they have when I'm there at Easter.
