RMH tested sizes - add questions to a nearing poll

So. In this first thread you can find already gathered questions that will be in the coming pool. The main point of this pool is that we gather data on RMH that is tested and a much as possible exact and consequently reliable for you/ others to use it on a new or existing RMH.

Remind you that this pool will be speciffically for RMH (rocket mass heater) with flues OR bells after the barrel.

It would be really nice to see the results like that at the end:
XXXX people are using an 8" sistem for over YYY years with a flue pipe longer than ZZZ that has properties like:
-blah
-blah blah...
and has not experienced no difficulties in operation.

SO! Right here below are already gathered/suggested questions. Reply to thread, add yours or suggest the change of these.
This list of questions will be constantly updating to newest list of suggested questions - so by reading only this post you quite know where we have already come to.

Reading all your threads and replies i just don't have enought balls to make this kind of request to you. I might risk ending my life in one of your rocket stoves :-)

So i will start with cleaner version of questions.
For all others, i would be happy to add questions that anwsers on them will be meaningfull to you.

Imo bells will be a useful information because after reading the peterberg threads on them it really convinced me to use this option. It is now hard for me to find pros for using flues in mass heat storage...

To Donkey and other more experienced users/makers of RMH: when a cleaner list of questions is gathered, i would be very happy if you can point out problematic questions that may not be useful, that may be misleading etc.

Personally, I think it's a marvelous idea. I've had untold requests for FAQ pages, ETC. Unfortunately, every time I get started on it, the thing starts looking more like a book than a simple, one page FAQ.
Someday, I may get on with a book... Just not right now.

In the mean time, the boards deserve something in the vein of what you are proposing... Something free and open..

So... Would you be needing an area of the forum specifically for this endeavor?
Some way to keep your project from getting mixed (and subsequently lost) with other subjects?

Hmm.
The thread(s) would have to be locked as soon as they are posted.
Not a problem, really..
Good idea.

The project should have it's own board heading (like the "Rocket Stoves For Cooking" area, etc.) to keep it disentangled from the rest.. Clarifying questions can be made on separate (new and unlocked) threads in the same area.
Locked (info) threads should be made "sticky" to keep them up front and readily available (not get lost down the list).

On some other forums that talk about things that are evolwing with community it is usually like that:
the first two posts are reserved for the author - and those can be edited by him.
To get a list of questions i can always add new questions to the first, main post of this thread - so others can view instantly to where we have come. In a few minutes i will add first batch of questions. In the replies below people can suggest new ones or transform existing ones. I can then edit the first post again and add new/modified questions. How is that?

As for the pool: my girlfriend wanted a pool for making a diploma in the college. I have a storage on serwer and have done quite some pages - so i have a software on that server that can run pools, surveys, forums, sites anything - no commercials. I was thinking of making a pool there because the software is powerfull and can make pool questions that aren't linear etc, different styles of answers etc. After the pools will be answered multiple times i can export data in excell or many other formats. So anyone can use this data.
I would also like to edit the data similar to the example on the first post. (xxx number of people is using y inch system for z days...) THESE edited data can then be published in a separate thread that is locked! (or maybe on a new site). Together with many useful info found here.

Donkey - i think that writing a book about this is a dead end. Because it always evolves. Few years ago you will write a book about RMH with heating flues. Then a month after peterberg registers forum and shares knowledge on bells :-) And i guess this wouldn't be the only update.
I think that gathered info should be easily edited/upodated - so the internet version should be more useful.

PDFs may be more spreadable - with certain version numbers at the begining of writing. Similar to opensource softwares?

And the knowledge should be fragmented based on usage of RS, but connected with links to similar uses of RS.
