Hi everybody!
Has anybody managed to make a rocket forge successfully yet?
I've tried with both my stoves, and i'm just nearly there. I can forge, but it requires constant attention. And i'm just bellow the spot i'd like to be at. Just need a tiny smidge hotter.

For very high heat you need blacksmith coal or coke instead of wood.

Thanks Karl.
Well, with just wood i can manage somehow. There's just two things how to implement the geometry of the rocket and be able to use long pieces of metal and also keep the metal in the bed of embers. This is a big point, if there's air and flames, metal doesn't heat enough. And also how to make the rocket hotter. I'll pursue my quest towards the cyclonic rocket. I'm pretty sure this can work.
One question thoughtIs the rocket getting hotter as a rocket cooking stove? Or as a RMH with the barrel? I have two six inchers, one of each type, and i've tried only with the heating one so far. Modified the cooking one into a J tube yesterday, and will make a small oppening for front air today.

Thanks a lot Karl.
I had seen the Creuzer's forge, and it doesn't seem too successfull. The tunel forge seems to be along the lines of what i had in mind.
Thanks again.
Max.

Hi everybody. Any of you has an opinion on the following drawing? Do you think this could work?

You can forge using wood, sort of. You need to turn the wood into charcoal first, then the temperature can rise to what's needed.
