Hi everybody.
Just toying with the gaz bottles idea again.
Tell me whatcha think. If this could work with vermiculite castable mix around it. It's just the burn tunel.
Thanks.
Max.

Sorry mate.
Huh, i could do screenshots, but that defeats all the intresting features of 3D. You could download sketchup. It's free. A lovely tool too.

Sketchup doesn't run naively on Linux... I managed to get it working with Wine (a Windows emulator) and have looked at your file. I see no reason it wouldn't work.. The thing will need feet or it won't stay upright.. ;p

Thanks a lot Donkey.
I did this to check if the burn tunel would fit in a french gaz bottle. It doesn't sht! What i want to do, is build someting that is metal outside, and welded, so i can transport it. I don't have the gear to bend a box to hold the bricks and insulation, in metal thick enough that i could weld. Brickwise, i'm on the right track, thin, 3cm thick ones. Or i'l just take the plunge and make cast burn tunel. But still no good way to atach it to my heat riser tall gaz bottle barrel combo.
Thanks again.

Could you just omit the brick and weld up the whole thing, guts and all? Stick on a cap (or two) to fill it up with pearlite. ?? It'd be really light and well insulated, so it would be easy to move and quick to start.
