That's great news, hof. I'm really pleased it worked out OK for you. Any more problems with the afterburner glass? Absolutly blur. See nothing. That's odd, it hasn't happened with any of the others. You must be getting more heat on the glass, do you get much flame going up around the shelf into the top chamber?

Smoke in march.
Left is a BBR stove, right is a vortex stove. Filmed in spring. Both stoves work at 100% at the moment of filming.

1 year of using.
Works well, but complicated for my worker to fire it: too much air regulators. For me it easy to use stove without overloads and smoke. This stove smoke even cleaner, then classic rocket stove.

Thanks for the update. Do you use the secondary air to the afterburner much?

Thanks for the update. Do you use the secondary air to the afterburner much? Yes, I use. I think, it is not enough secondary air sometimes. We do not fire logs. We fire planks and boards.

I am very grateful for your posts on this forum; especially all the pictures of your build. The free information and pictures regarding the builds and the firing, - a Godsend! thanks so much for your generosity and time! Merry Christmas!

The stove works well when the outside temperature drops below -3 degrees Celsius. Above 0 the oven does not work at all.
I modified the furnace a little, reducing the primary air and adding secondary air. There is less overload now.

Hi Hof, your videos look interesting but I am not sure what you are trying to show us?

Hi Hof, your videos look interesting but I am not sure what you are trying to show us? 1-2 videos: found proper proportions of afterburner and top chamber sizes, and stove works stable now. 3 video: there were discuss with "classic stove builders" about is there soot in stove or not. Soot is present, but not sow much.

Probably most of that came from before you found the proper proportions. My annual clean-out I get about 1 inch in the bottom of a bucket of dark grey soot/ash mix, and most of that comes from the startup phase.
