Hello: I am finishing my first batch box stove, I still have to put some cob over the bench and a thin coat around the second skin of the fire box. My question is, how big should be the first fires in this stove of 200mm untill arrive at the 14,2kg of wood that batchrocket.eu says? I have heard that I should start with half the final load and go growing this load. Thank you.

Hello and welcome to the community .My build is a riserless core with firebrick & sand/clay mortar. I started with one or two small fires with just kindling and then some small loads .I think it depends on your materiales - cast , firebrick or ceramic fiberboards . I'm sure other members will soon be along to give you some advice based on more experience than I have , but how about making a build thread & including some photos ? (if you haven't already done so )
