Hi to all (sorry for sometimes bad english ) I was reading allot about RMH but never had time and space to do it. Still don't have space but have time so started to build my own. It is an old house that I bought 3years ago. Removed old chimney and put new stainless one diameter 150mm Space for RMH is 180 cm X 125 cm so I decided to put rocket + furnace + "spiral chimney" Pictures will explain everything (hope so)

i noticed you mentioned it was made from firebricks... are they the dense ones or the insulating (light ones)? i made one once, before i knew about the insulating.... and the dense ones take awhile to heat up(about an hour). .. but once they do get hot the fire will roar... i just reused some dense firebrick on the floor of an outside Lion stove or Libhubesi stove... its a modified version somewhat with the riser to one side rather than in the middle ... air passes over dense firebrick from the back... the fire chamber is built on top.... comes to the front up thru a fuel grate.. turning a 180.... then up thru an L shaped rocket.. 10 incher... heat from the bottom of the fire chamber should preheat air from the back

I used dense firebricks just for rocket Never heard until now about Libhubesi stove , as you say idea of that stove is to preheat air for combustion. My idea was to feed fresh air throw "second foundation" (as you can see on pictures above), but you cant see on pictures that I also preheat air throw "foundation" because it is on horizontal tube on rocket , see picture white lines present rocket and yellow lines air intake

I didn't take pictures for one day , but you can see that table was made.It will hold spiral chimney. (girder?) was used to hold weight. With girder, grid was made and tiles on top to level it. on tiles layer of brick to be like temp. isolation from below. In middle you can see space. That will be hole and idea is that through that hole air is going and warming up. This is below , white circle presents pipe 110mm from outside of house and how it will be connected to the air intake for rocket.
