Just finished this 8 inch build. We finally made one with a comfortable seat! The new DSR design is a good bit more metal work but we'll worth it. Thanks Peter! photos.app.goo.gl/i5WVKB1GVSun6rkTA

Don't mention it, I am always pleased when people implement one of my designs. I'm very curious how an 8" DSR2 would behave since my development model is just 5" in two barrels. Mine is dwarfed when compared to an 8 incher, true scalability wasn't proven as yet. Could you elaborate about it?

We started the stove up before we left but didn't get to stay long enough to see it fully dried. Also the space had no doors or windows and a fierce wind kept blowing through causing some negative pressure smoke back. It's based off your closed DSR drawing scaled up to 8 inches. The firebox was 11.1x23x16 (wxdxh) as i recall. I will keep the forum posted when they get into the next heating season and hopefully the house will have doors and windows! It was a little larger than the recommended ISA but included a bypass.

It was a little larger than the recommended ISA but included a bypass. I have liked the ergonomy of the backrest. I'm right in the moment when a friend of mine wanted to know whether it is possible to shape it in bricks or it is obtainable by clay plaster application only. I subscribed to the topic so hope to read some follow up in the next heating season. congrats!
