Thanks everybody.
I’m new to video making- just found the software on an old computer.
I’m surprised no one has commented on the brass PO Box door yet. I think it’s the coolest thing ever. Readily available on eBay for $10.
Not sure how it would hold up on a heavy burner but the best thing ever on an intermittent stove like this.

Do you think it would work as well with any kind of stones ? The only ones I have available on site are slate.
Could you give more details about the mortar you have used around the stones and top plate ? Just refractory cement and sand ? How much water ?
