6" batch box made with heavy firebrick and "5 minute" riser. Oven is 3-4 inches of cob with 1" ceramic fiber insulation. Raised floor and exhaust via the floor. All that's left is some beautifying and a door. I have some terra cotta colored plaster from the old stove, which was cast from cob. I plan to use that for some finishing details. I'll report back after I've fired it a couple of times. drive.google.com/file/d/109yTS5s0qCOpiJrrm8trai-Nb-pKIX6m/view?usp=drivesdk

You might have a bit too much flywheel with 3-4 inches of cob. I've found 2" is ideal for both quick pizzas and lengthy roasting.
but I could be wrong...

Though I really intended to take some time and effort to design something artistically beautiful to finish this oven, time constraints and impatience ruled the day. I did, however, mix a batch of plaster using the clay from the old stove that had been fired into a nice, red color. I wish I would have had enough to coat the entire oven. Alas, now I have a two-tone rocket oven. drive.google.com/file/d/10AdsVBDqNqWvzwSws0iFkLcT_bvGr0iE/view?usp=drivesdk

Thanks! I've fired it 4 or 5 times to get it dry and get a feeling for how it works. Haven't fired it to pizza temps yet.

Looks very phallic! Do you have a diagram to show the path the gases take to reach the exhaust?

Sime times a cigar is just a cigar...Will sketch something to show the path today.
