Greetings, Well the day has passed and the vote was taken, I won and in fact have 81.4% of the employees on my side a much better feeling than a court forced mandate all the way around. That said, new toys have already been ordered and I am picking them up tomorrow to begin the testing and operational parameter development for the RMH. I also have discovered that there is one within a two hour drive and perhaps they might be open to chatting and some working model testing as well. Got a real fancy combustion analyzer on the way, the one I have would do the job but the new one is specific to wood burning, hopefully no one looks at that part funny in the capital expenditures I mean really though, who cares as long as it is servicing the students and teaching them something, that’s my view anyway! If anyone knows one of those computer modeling whizbangs that can do 3-d real time it might add a lot of merit to the outcome to have it beyond video and if it is programmed correctly the sensitivities associated with it could be explored much easier with the computer doing the math Anyway I know it has been a lot longer than anticipated and some might be wondering but it was truly unavoidable but the wait is over! Lets have some fun!

At last. It will surely give interesting results, and it's always good to have hard data to support (or not) established practice.

Not dead, nor is the project, a huge realignment of staffing happened after the union vote and several staff positions were eliminated. My commitments are to my students first and until I replace two key personnel I will remain out of pocket. I have been tossed the responsibility for the electrical training department as well and shifted to a more hands on position.
I am hopeful I will fill the positions within the next two weeks.

nedreck I also appreciate the research you are doing in to this and bringing your expertise to it. I would love to hear of any update you have. I love learning about how and why these heaters work. I plan on building a RMH in my backyard this upcoming year to experiment with it. Then hopefully to build one in my basement to code to lower our heating bills.

Yeah, well... We haven't heard from Nedreck in some time. Shame that.. 'Tis a shame; I was hoping to see his results (in case you didn't know, I was the one that argued with him for hours on Survivalistboards and got him to start the project in the first place).

Nedreck's last reply was Apr 2011. Very unfortunate.
Calling Nedreck: If you're out there, throw us a bone!!
