Greetings, I'm new here. A friend has a greenhouse (plastic hoophouse) about 30' by 70' that he uses for vegetable storage in the winter (he is a CSA farmer). He goes through a lot of wood in the wood stove just to keep veggies from freezing. He has a root cellar but grows so much food that it's not big enough. What sort of RMH would you recomend to replace the wood stove? Again, he really just needs to keep things from freezing until he distributes it to shareholders; we're in Massachusetts. many thanks!

Welcome chiefnehoiden! Sounds like your friend needs another root cellar! A standard RMH right out of the book would be a good band aid for the season. Perhaps he could even fire a mass bench with the existing wood stove if a bypass is installed to pre-heat the flue for draft. I imagine he could drop his wood consumption by a third to a half of current use with sufficient mass storage and changing how he burns to rocket style.
