Is burning DRY PUNKY wood bad for my rocket?

Fully dry, yet semi punky ponderosa pine and doug fir? Hopefully ok?

Won't hurt it a bit.
Though, punky wood is likely to burn too fast (just pine alone will do it) , allowing the fire to ladder out of your firebox. Kinda depends..
Try it and see how it goes.

I burn it, but not a lot at one time, as flames tend to creep up it faster than good hardwood.
