Is the creosote trap important? There's a case in the book where the person connected the flue to his ceiling, which is what I'm interested in doing. However I surely want to prevent creosote build up.
I thought about making a loop out side with a trap like in the book and then looping back in side and up (in order to keep all gases away from my door and window).
Thanks

If you're burning all the fuel (which is a rocket stove's best trick), then there shouldn't be a big creosote problem, as it's unburned fuel. I know of no rocket stove with creosote problems. Ash buildup yes, creosote no.
