burning the "marks jet tube" mass rocket heater

after one year of playful experimentation with the rocket mass heater in my own old house in the netherlands, i like to share my experience with you.
i have learned a lot from you and your wonderful forum.

after a few problems with smoke back in the room (which i resolved by shortening the flu in the bench eventually)

and philosophic thoughtpower with victor schauberger back in mind, a came to this solution and my own invention:

i call it the "marks jet tube"

it is based on the peter vd berg batchbox system.

i will answer your questions as best as possible for my knowledge of English is quit rusty.

How does the ash/coals pit work? Does it require actively punching the wood forward to maintain a good burn?
