anyone has it? Is it necessary with the rocets? Instructions say "Install at least 15 feet away from any fuel burning appliance", that seeems too far it's ouside my tiny house

That 15 feet is so it doesn't go off in false alarms. I think CO detectors are important for natural gas stoves and furnaces.
When rockets misfire or back-drafts the smoke tends to be the first indicator as opposed to CO.
For a rocket I think you are better off with a plain smoke detector. Use both for safety.
