Both are very interesting designs. I can't help but criticize though when I see burn tunnels this long. It's just too much. On the other hand, if it ain't broken.....

I agree but the mason works like that: hereMaybe what you show is proportional at the feed tube hight? hereOr not. The burn tunnel whith eight bricks long is page 39 in the Ianto Evan's book. This rmh works, the question is could it work better whith a shorter burn tunnel?

I agree but the mason works like that: hereWell, the mason does beautiful work, that's for sure. It might work better with a shorter burn tunnel.. I see why he's doing it that way, there's quite a bit going on with the stove. Good work either way. The important part is that it works. And apparently, it does.
