Does anyone use a barometric damper on their exhaust flue exiting the bell of a batch rocket? When the wind blows and draft spikes the fire rockets harder. Is that a good thing or bad thing in a bell system? Would it be better to have a barometric damper regulate the draft so it never spikes above a certain level?
My chimney draft frequently spikes to between .05 -.09 inches water column as measured by my magnahelic manometer.

Mine does the same, I assume that it pulls out hotter gases quicker when its happening making the burn efficient but making the heat extraction less efficient...
