Here's a link to he original thread for this build donkey32.proboards.com/thread/1725/adventures-cookstovesWith the coming cold weather it was high time to have a working stove in my house again. It works well enough. The primary air needs to be enlarged but that won't be a problem. The oven gets hot but it takes it's time doing so hopefully this will improve as the bricks dry out all the way. Check out the pictures at the link below. Thanks for all the good advice. www.flickr.com/gp/45224908@N03/sXJN97

I'm happy to report that the oven made it to 400 on the top rack in about thirty minutes. The right side of the secondary air manifold is the only one getting secondary burn. Peter mentioned somewhere that a split air feed will have a dominant side and it makes sense that it would be in the direction of the draw. I'm currently running with the ash door cracked a hair until I resize the air intake. I would like to link in some photos but I've never been able.to make it work with flickr. Maybe I need to host them somewhere else. Well thanks again and hopefully someone else can benefit from my work. oh and another thing I added waterglass to my mortar about 3% by weight. It made it gel fairly rapidly while putting it up especially because I was taking so much time between bricks as I figured it out. Doesn't seem to have made much of a difference in the crush strength of the mortar. Perhaps it wasn't enough. I got the recipe from a Daniel Rhodes kiln book

Well Joseph, flickr are sneaky. You have to open the image you want in their viewer, and then right click, view the page source, and in all that malarkey, try to find your image's link, it's a .jpg usualy.
