Hello. Attached is my sketch of possible future project. Upper part would take away about 2 sq. Meters. Other details are on the photo... Here is the link to photo on Dropbox batchbox for heating with black ovenSuggestions welcomed and if there is any similar build already, please, let me know. I am thinking of using 6inch casted batchbox...

Hey. I am working now on masonry batch-box with the black oven. In around one month i should focus on that build, now the design is finished and soon i think i will start another thread, or maybe we can stay in here together:) No need for duplicating posts.

This is how my idea looks like. i hope it is visible. there is no chimney inside yet since i am wondering wheter to buildit from bricks inside, or just place the stainless chimney pipe inside.

Hi, robert.
I did a quick look. It looks like a side feed batchbox, right? I see that in the top of the riser you sketched an elbow... I think that this would very much slow down the speed of this rocket stove... They say that especially with batchbox there should be quite a decent gap between above heat riser and the barrier above... This is not so with your plan...

An elbow on the top of the riser has been done before by Michel Wijnja in the Netherlands. Link to the photo is here. It looks from his stove that if you get the radius right it should be okay.

Every change of direction means friction in the gas path. In order to avoid this, make the elbow much higher, up to 200% of system size. Maybe you can get away with 150% but don't take my word for it.
