Hello, I am new to the forums and I have been interested in RMH for a while but I have not had the opportunity to build one. I was looking around at the dragon heater website and was intrigued with the bell concept. I was curious if any one has incorporated one with a traditional wood stove. I was curious if it was feasible or for that matter a good idea. I have a Woodstock fireview stove with a tall masonry chiminey that goes up through my house to the roof(20-25 feet). Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

Hi Paine, welcome to the boards. In the Netherlands there are some people who've added a bell construction to a wood stove. In the most simple way possible, I have to add. They used one or more small barrels, inlet of the hot gases and exhaust both close to the bottom. You have to run the stove hot with this addition, no damping down anymore.
In case you like to build a masonry bell, that has been done before as well.
