Rocket stoves revolutionize wood burning by separating combustion from the functions of providing heat. These stoves burn wood COMPLETELY, producing little to NO smoke with extremely high efficiency. Heating water with wood is usually a smokey, inefficient and dangerous activity. In this workshop, you will learn how to do this in a safe and clean manner with recognized Rocket Stove authorities, Kirk Mobert (that's me) and Leslie Jackson (co-author of the RMH book).

What you get:
Friday night, the fire-science rap. How wood burns, how to shape fire, history of fire-shaping from the 3-stone fire to the rocket stove (with demonstrations at a real fire).
Saturday, the project will be building a rocket powered hot water heater in a cob bathhouse. We do the build all day, break for lunch at 1:00, continue till dinner around 6:00, maybe some obsessive tinkering after dinner with more fireside talk, etc.
Sunday, half day. Finish up the build, test fire the thing, do lunch and go home.

Meals are included, 2 breakfasts, two lunches and two dinners.
Camping space is included, 50 acres of second growth redwood/fir and other mixed species forest.
The dog, Floyd. Golden retriever loves to play fetch (lives to fetch), will check your tent at night, do the rounds and make sure all is well. If you hear an animal at night, it's Floyd coming to check on you.
