I made a burn tube out of fire brick. It was a pain but I like the tube. We need to commission someone to make these bricks. They are a pain to cut but can be put together quickly. It takes 7 bricks to make a 6 inch section and I made it 4 bricks high. If you cut one row of bricks in half you can stagger the joints. I used fire mortar and wire to hold it together but next time I will just stack them inside of a 12 inch culvert and pack it with sand and pearlite. Not sure of the insulating factor of the fire brick but it should last a long time. I don't check this site often but eventually will check for feedback. oh, by the way. If you want the angle its easy. Just divide 360 degrees by the number of cuts (14). The backwoods Enganeer Attachments:

Hi there, Hardtimes, I've had some of those hard times recently, myself! That's nice work! I'm sure it was a pain cutting all those bricks. What style of burner u plan on using- J or batch box? Bet that riser weighs a bit ! Hope to see what progress you make! Team lift! Eric VW
