Hi all, cool little forum you got going here, i stumbled upon the link on someones Blog i believe. we got a demo of a rocket-stove last weekend at the NorthEast Permaculture Convergence in east montpelier VT. just a little slapped-together loose brick one in a dirt parking lot,but we all got the idea/principles down...it was a "damned sketchy setup"according to david ludt who gave the demo. ;D i've got a 2-car length detached garage woodshop ..ahem.."craft-studio" that i currently heat in winters with an old cast iron woodstove.feed the chimney out a window with wonderboard/bricks around it on the sill....i cant wait to get a rocket mass heater design together to replace it! plan on purchasing Ianto's book and viewing more videos of others designs..i've got Plenty time till i gotta worry about my shop getting cold anyway! Hi Matthew, I was working with Dave this spring at the Masonry Heaters Association annual meeting! We built a couple of "rocket/bell heaters" They work great. how is he doing?
That's what's great about rocket's is they still work in "sketchy setups"
I would love to check out the NE Permaculture convergence - How wwas it?
I'm new to the forum as well, kirk
