So I have been living with this stove for 3 heating seasons now and I am just getting around to finishing it. I got 1/3 of the finishing done this year, the area around the j-tube. I was originally planning of making a batch box but it would have been so low to the floor that my mother in law with bad arthritis would not have been able to load it, so I just keep it a traditional j-tube. Brick finishing of a J-tubeBrick finishing of a J-tube 2And here is the whole photo album for those who would like to see the whole thing. The whole photo album 95 picturesI plan on making a small bell on the other end to get a little more heat out of it before it goes up the chimney and I also plan on tiling the bench. And for fun... Wow, that looks really good. The coloring of the barrel is awesome. I have definitely received some inspiration from your build. Thanks for the update.

Very cool. Nice build, and I like the insecurity aphorism on the computer screen in the background, too!
