i cant wait to build one of these for our home and then heat half the house. i want to mock up a stove out of bricks and Ive read most of the on line book and I'm still not sure how many fire bricks i need?

also the 8" stove flue is expensive ca you use ducting or flexy stuff.

still having trouble finding flue at a reasonible price. ive found some 8" chimney liner for £20 a meter. is it ok to use it even though it is not smooth on the inside?
i plan to use a steel riser pipe and insulate it. so do i just need fire bricks for the roof of the fire pit.
