Hello. Here you can take a look at some photos from the build i was doing with Joris Pouls from belgium. Thats an interesting side load batch box, double bell stove with ceramic plate for cooking. primary and secondary air goes through the ash pit which is on the left side of the batch-box. the other bell is heating the room on the other side of the wall, and the stove heats water also. Have fun by looking at it. I post it on my FB page. here is the link: FaceBook photos of a cooking stove.

Hi Robert,
I like to see the photos, but I don't like to subscribe to another social medium again. Could you post those somewhere where there's no membership required?

So here it is. I moved photos to Photobucket. Sorry the descriptions are in Polish, but if you need some comment just ask i will try to answer. The most interesting part (heat riser from ceramic fibres) is missing on the pictures, but i will post soon the other heater which shows how it is placed. So here is the link to slideshow. I do not understand the action of the kitchen, it looks to me like a two in one, something to heat and something to heat. How does it look in real life? Very low hearth, I do not see the vertical heat. Few practical design, I think.

The cooktop was imported from PISLA company in finland. Pluton, the heat riser is missing on the pictures. it is located just next to batchbox. and i can say it is a powerfull machine and quite nice design. of course the firebox is a little bit low as compared to regular cookstoves, but we need to do it in this way to have enough height for the riser.
PS. Pisz do mnie na priva albo na FB to pogadamy;)

I wonder how that ceramic cooktop will cope with the intense heat coming out the top of the heat-riser.

Hi Robert,
I am taking a close look at those pictures, considering giving the side door batch box a go, and trying to figure out dimensions.
Can you recall if the bricks are 4.5" x 9" x 2.5"?
I am also curious about the small door on the left. I see that it has an opening into the batch box. Is this for air intake? If so what else?
Does the batch box double as a black cook oven?
I have sent Joris an email, but am not sure when i will hear back. So any information you can share is much appreciated
well being
pat
