How hot does it get inside your Bell? Why not just line it with cob to protect the concrete blocks?

peterberg has generously provided a sketchup for the DSR2 6" version. You can download it here.

That modular design is essentially portable and awesome. The DSR2 you link to is "open"? I thought that meant no door. I also thought your stove was in an "unattended" location. I must be missing something.

I must be missing something. Yes it is the "Open System". It will have a door that can be closed after the burn has completed in order to stop the flow of air. My stove is downstairs in a rec room.

peterberg The sketchup shows an 8 1/2" W x 8 1/2" H shoe-box. My previous shoe-box was 8 1/4" W x 8" H. Is this within acceptable tolerances? Is there an adjustment required to the "Stumbling Block" to make this work? It seems silly, but that extra 1/2" causes a rippling effect of changes to other components.

Also my Burn Chamber is 2" taller than the sketchup. This would also make the riser 2" taller. Changing this to the spec will also cause many changes.
My firebox is 3 3/4" longer too.
I'm hoping I can keep these dimensions.

In that case, keep it that way, I would say it's within acceptable tolerances. Keep the stumbler as it is in the drawing, changing that on that scale won't have any effect.

Hmmm... the length of the firebox isn't that critical, we know that for quite some time. Height might be a problem though, since the closed wall above the port will be 2" higher as well. A solution could be one or more fill blocks of 2" thickness on the firebox' floor so it will be comform specs. The riser floor doesn't need to be at the same height so this could be lower. I'm assuming here you want to build one without a door? If not, you need to have a fill block left and right of the floor channel anyway as pictured in the drawing.
