I am planning to replace a wood stove with a RMH and already have a 6 inch 21 foot insulated chimney that I don't want to replace. I am wondering if I can do a 7 inch feed tube and heat riser into a dead end bell bench and then exit to a 7 inch chimney that quickly reduces to 6 inch. We are wanting to heat a very well insulated 2 storey straw bale house with about 720 square feet on each floor. Will the bell work with reducing the CSA of the system ?

In my experience, that would be acceptable; I have a 7-inch batch box feeding into a roughly 15-foot tall 6-inch chimney and it works well enough.

you mean "BB vs J" ISA?
I have no idea, BB may have 3x more power as the whole fuel is burning compared to just the bottom part in J.
