Bell A chamber used to extract heat from exhaust gasses through contact with large surface areas.

Burn tunnel The (usually horizontal) section of a rocket stove where the primary stages of combustion take place. Shown at the bottom of this RMH cutaway

CSA Cross Section Area The area inside a section of the heater through which gasses pass.
Example 8” pipe, (pi)(radius squared) CSA = 50.24 2 inches 8” X 8”, CSA = 64 2 inches

(p) Peter channel A channel that allows secondary combustion air to be pre-heated in, and exit near the rear of the burn tunnel resulting in more complete burning of combustion gasses.
P - Channel

Riser The vertical section of a rocket stove where combustion takes place at high temperatures, resulting in increased burn efficiency and lower emissions. RMH cutaway

Trip wire A feature that projects into the burn tunnel, ahead of the riser, to create turbulence in the smooth (Laminar) flow of gasses, to mix unburnt gasses with oxygen-containing gasses in order to achieve more complete combustion. Good Trip wire discussion

You have to insert the icon "InsertHyperlink" first, and place the link in the middle between the ][ brackets. This icon is to be found above the editing window, second row, third icon from the left. Your last link is one outside this forum and as such recognized by the forum software.

I've done that to your last link, so you can see for yourself what's needed.

You need to use bbcode instead of html.
Setting up a link looks like this:

the above code looks something like this on the thread:

Or if you want to link from a piece of text (description, etc.) but want the link itself to be not visible write it like this:
[url=link address here]the text you want as the link[/url]

It seems that perhaps a new forum area might be in order. I will make you a moderator of that area, so you will have the ability to edit, remove, lock, etc. posts in that area.

Peterberg, any ideas on this? I'm not THE MOST organizationally savvy.

I'm thinking that the area can become a little more multi-functional than just a place to put a glossary of terms.
For instance, the entire description of how a bell works, with dimensions, details and perhaps the math involved in one organized, sticky and (ultimately) locked state. Not so much a free-form discussion area, more of a reference library.

Between [ and http there should be url= to make it complete. Try to modify your own post, that would work. And use Preview first to check whether it is what you intend it to be.

Ok.
I've set up the area and made you a moderator of it. I don't intend that you would do it alone, It's my plan to rope in some other likely sucker(s) to help. There's also Canyon, Peterberg and myself at this point.
As I said before, if you REALLY want out, not a problem.
In the mean time, I shall copy your Glossary Begun to the Reference Library area.
