please understand that whether for cooking or heating
the concepts are simple, implementation can be tricky

remember to insulate the combustion areas
refractory materials can be insulative, or not
dangerous temperatures can be easily acheived
please/search read the "sticky" posts

Aprovecho's stuff is mostly about cook stoves.. Seems more appropriate here in the cooking stove area.
