I was asked to demo a batchbox to someone. I had a 6 inch riser and some bricks lying around, an old piece of CFB, and the leftover clay-sand mix too. Threw this together in 20 minutes without really thinking about it. Never seen a keyhole shape like it before at the forum, so I thought I'd post as a curiosity item! I was surprised to see the ram's horns so quickly with rather wet wood, wet mortar, and cold bricks!

Having followed the DSR3 developments, and being intrigued by the triangle shape of the riser base in my bush batchbox throw-together of a week ago, I threw this together. Obviously the top triangular tunnel is open at the front end. This is usually where a window would go, or it would be closed with brick or CFB so that the heat moves out that area via a port into the rest of the system. I balanced the 5-minute riser on top of some bricks so that it could create some draw. It burnt pretty well despite the mortar and wood being very wet. The ram's horns wanted to start. I post as another curiosity item! I have no idea if there is any merit in any of it. Hey, this is the experiments section!
