Looks really good, well done! Yes you can sunbathe in front of the afterburner window, it's great for infra-red saunas Your firebox looks huge now it has some wood in it. It works best with at least 3/4 full loads, so the fire is close to the port at the start.

Hi Hot,
I am trying to understand how you make your door latches and hinges. The parts on the frame side are clear. Can you post more pics of the parts on the door side ?
Thanx

1St, 2nd and 3rd firings - 2 kg of wood, 4th and 5th - 3,5 and 6th - 4 kilos of wood. Now stove starts more easily, then first 3 burnings. 6th burning with 4 kilos of wood: Secondary air heating double walls work, but leaks. Need to close holes better.

Looking great. I really like the shape of your firebox now with those inserts. The afterburner on mine usually gets up to around 900C on a full load.

5 kilograms of fuel.
It accelerated for a long time. The rocket brick stove in the next room had already started and was buzzing, but this one had not yet. Well, 10-15 minutes flared up against 3-4 minutes of rocket fire. Then I set the valves and went on business. When I returned, I saw not even a crimson, but an orange-yellow afterburner. The pyrometer, designed for 950 degrees, went off scale! In the chimney - 85 degrees.
After that, the bypass was turned off, and after a couple of minutes the chamber turned just cherry red, the temperature in the chimney dropped to 55 degrees. It is necessary to come up with some kind of middle position between the two positions of the bypass - on and off. Make a latch on the control handle, or something.
