Hi Fuegos; Here is a still drying but finished picture. Hi Orange; The batch isn't fully dry and up to speed yet so I don't have a solid answer. I suspect that the J tube was putting more heat out but for a much shorter time.

Are you gonna make DSR2 air frame doors as well? Have you talked to Matt walker about building firebox and oven doors fort his designs?
I feel like a lot of people contemplating the batch box are frightened away by the metalwork. Prefab doors is a good idea. Good luck with it!

Hi Joseph; Matt has one of my doors on his cook stove. He is very pleased with it. You can see it in the background during stove chat. I'm sending him my ash tools to try out next. Currently I have no plans for a dsr2 door. But once I get a bit ahead I sure will look into them.
