A short while ago I had an attempt at concrete casting for a rocket stove.. it was a learning experience at least.. The lesson is speak to someone who knows about casting ceramic molds

Good effort although there are many improvements that could be made. It is surprisingly difficult to build your own mould and make a void free, accurate casting so well done on your first effort.
Should you ever wish to have another go you can find all the information you need on this forum. There are some very tried and tested formulas that can be applied to guarantee a successful build.
With mould making you really need a vibrating table or at lease a vibrating poker, this will give a far greater chance of success.
