I really like the simplicity of your design as it omits the complexity of double walled construction for the bell. Do you notice any cracking in the joints of the bell? Did you do anything special for the mortar mix used in the bell? Do you think refractory cement could be used instead of geopolymer on the inside of the bell? Thanks for sharing!

I really like the simplicity of your design as it omits the complexity of double walled construction for the bell. ANSWER: Thanks Do you notice any cracking in the joints of the bell? Did you do anything special for the mortar mix used in the bell? ANSWER: I have not had any cracking in the bell. When I removed the "Engine" in order to upgrade to the DSR2, the geopolymer coating on the inside of the bell was completely intact. Do you think refractory cement could be used instead of geopolymer on the inside of the bell? ANSWER: I don't know. I recommend you test the cement to make sure it will adhere to a vertical wall. I tested 3 different trowel notch thicknesses in order to see which ones worked. Thanks for sharing! ANSWER: You're Welcome
