First post from a newbie……..
I modeled a Clarryclone from looking at the pictures here and Clarry's patent. Did a really quick test fire and when I had good flame and draft, the thing was pretty danged impressive. I can tell I've got to work some on getting good input draft and also the feed didn't seem to really do the trick for me. Tinker, tinker, tinker……
Any updates on yours, Gooch?

Messed with mine more yesterday. It's in my non-insulated 20'x 30' garage. It was a very cold 1 degree F yesterday morning. I ran it for about an hour and the room temp was up to 25 degrees. Later in the afternoon, when the outside temp had raised up to 20 degrees, I ran it again for an hour and the garage was up to 45 degrees. That's a temp I can work in with insulated coveralls. Mines made out of all 2.5" square as that's what I have laying around. I may send this to my brother in law for his goose pit and make one out of 4" for my garage.
Here's a short video of the first burn. Since this I've changed the feeder tube a bit, added a bin for pellets, and welded some removable and adjustable legs to it. And before anyone busts my chops, I know I slip in the video and call it a "rocket stove" and that it technically isn't one. : )

Got the bin added and spent a little more time with it. Here's an extended tour of the unit......maybe too extended. : ) Sorry for the quiet audio. Forgot to edit it before I posted it to Youtube.

Nice video josjor! When I get the batch rocket done, I may have to make one of these. By the way, nice license plates on the wall. I live in 18 county.

Here's a short one after I played with the draw a little more. I just started messing with what will basically be upscaled version of this burner assembly, but up into a more traditional vertical tube. The preliminary messing with a new feed design for it looks like it will get a much more even feed of pellets into the burn area.

Hi JosJor, do you have an updated picture of the upscaled version with new feed tube ? Also, the feed tube is open in many places. I was under the impression that the many patents of this kind of burner are completely air tight except for the combustion air door (where you slide the combustion grill in) and the draft control on the chimney of the wiseway stove www.google.ca/patents/US7861707www.google.nl/patents/US20090038603Am I right ?

Josjor, I like your pellet hopper. How well does it work when you get low on pellets? I'll be making another one and will put up the dimensions.

Just seeing if you ever made your next clarry stove gooch? and if so, if you wrote down the dimensions. I was thinking 5"X5" tube? or maybe drop down to 4"X4"? your thoughts? Any detail info would be fantastic Thanks! BioHazard2222

Hey Guys,
Just singed up for this forum due to this threat. looks like some pretty intensive experimenting, good job. I hate to be one of those guys that jump in after the work is done but if you guys can share some plans/measurement, that would be incredible.
Looking to make an inexpensive pellet stove for the moose hunting. looking forward to future updates.

I built one last week without much success. I know from the first burn that I needed more flue. Not a lot of draft in mine. I'll need to do more experimenting.

Welcome, wmfritz.
How ironic this is. I was watching Josjor's most recent video yesterday. He says he has made changes since this video.
