Can isokern chimney parts be used as a heat riser? They are relatively cheap and widely avaiable here in Europe, but can they withstand the temperatures of a batch box?

I looked in to this a year or two back, but not in depth. They are lightweight alumina concrete made with volcanic aggregate, meets or exceeds UL 103HT. (I found that UL 103 is 950-1150 Celsius) Enough for a batch box? Maybe...that's 2100 F. Definitely most parts, but the hot spot(s)?

It seems that those temperatures you mention are only something they can withstand for short amounts of time, as far as I can see. So it probably will not be able to withstand the extreme temperatures of a batch box heat riser.
