Hi folks !
I need your advice to design a multi-purpose rocket stove to serve my winter needs (approx. from November until April). I live in a small peasants' house made of stone in the forest, at the bottom of a valley, in an area with a harsh climate. The house has 3 floors of approx. 25 m2 and the stove will be built on the 2nd floor on a large stone (2,6m x 1,1m) that currently hosts the chimney (see sketch below).
I am still at an early stage of thinking about this. The priority is to design a compact stove that can heat the 2nd floor. The other functions that I hope this stove can perform (in order of priority) : cooking, heating water (min 30l), oven. Are there examples of compact realisations integrating all these functions ? I've seen that the people developping the cabin stove 2.0 are planning to integrate water heating in february 2016 but there's no oven in that stove.
I am also wondering if there have been successful attempts at storing and distributing the heat in water. I am asking this because it seems to me the most simple way of heating the other floors while keeping a single stove. Indeed, the next need is to heat the 1st floor during the spring, as it will be used to extract honey. There, a very suitable system would be a heated floor as it would allow to concentrate and direct heat to specific areas.
Your thoughts and advice are appreciated.
Thanks !
The sketch is not complete as it does not feature the chimney enabling the hot gases from leaving the 2nd floor. The chimney displayed is coming from the 1st floor. The cooking area needs to be on the left side of the stone. Hope this helps a bit.
