little update. Second skin is started. Wrapped it with cardboard and filled the gap with clay mortar between both skins. The door is now in place I'm slightly annoyed to find that the key is crooked. It looks worse on the picture actually, anyway at the end it will not appear with the plaster layer. Overall I am satisfied with the result . My bricklaying skills are getting better everyday.

I wonder, are you going to light the stove with the top open to burn the cardboard out?
Or are you going to seal and finish it all and then light a fire?

I'm going to seal and finish the first bell before light the stove. I want to see how it behave before finish the second one. In the worst case I shall reduce the ISA of the second bell.
I have about four rows of bricks left and install the chimney. Can't wait!!!

Nice. I love the timber framing too. All hand hewn!
Alex, i noticed, is that one of the new dewalts you have? 18V ? 2 or 3 speed? Do you like it. My 988 N2 and 920/925 L2 are on their way out i think. And i haven't tried the new dewalt.

You can be sure I will keep you informed of his behavior. This will be my first experience with a masonry heater. I have heard many good reviews but never had the experience
I want to thank Peter for all the time invested in research and giving us access to all the necessary information!
Max! I sent you a pm

Very nice stove. I think you named it right. That thing is huge! I'm looking forward to seeing the burn tests and the final product.
